Unique Pest Management is the only company in the country providing this biologically friendly and highly effective service by using specially trained dogs to remove rats from urban settings. We need energetic, night time employees to help our booming business keep up with the demand.
Are you willing to go where the rats go?
Rat Abatement Canine Handlers work with up to two specially trained dogs. All rat abatement jobs are conducted at night and vary between Virginia, DC, and Maryland.
Applicants must be able to run/walk fast with the dogs, climb up and over objects, lift heavy objects, and MUST be able to pick up and dispose of dead rats. Getting dirty is part of the job, but so is the excitement.
After each rat abatement job the Handler is responsible for:
– Taking the dog(s) back to the service center in Woodbridge
– Cleaning and sanitizing ratting equipment
– Minimal care for other rat abatement dogs at the service center
This is a full-time night position with possible overtime, but hours are not guaranteed. You MUST have a clean driving record along with reliable transportation, able to pass a drug test at the time of hire, and live in the Northern Virginia area.
